Tom was kind enough to allow me to post these homemade tools on my site. Text is in Tom's own words. jm

Here is a picture of the cutout tester I just made last week. It accurately indicates at what voltage the cutout closes and opens. The green LED lights up to show current is going through the contact points. Except the volt meter, the parts cost under $5. I use a 12 VDC 300 mA. power supply.

Here is a picture of the engine adapter I made the other day. It's more solid than the vendor ones, and bolts in 4 places, 2 on the water inlet and 2 on top of the oil pan lip. The engine weight is very centered, so it stays where you turn it, even without a pin. I used 1/2" plate, 1/4" bar stock, 2 3/8" pipe, and 1" square tubing.

Here is a handy tool I made for the sandblast cabinet. It's a lazy Susan for turning heavy parts while sandblasting them. I used it today for the first time on a multiplate flywheel that needed blasting. I found a heavy duty turntable from an old record player at the junk yard. Then I welded 4 short pieces of square tubing into an X patern, with a couple of nuts in the center for the bolt that holds the turntable in place. It worked great with the heavy flywheel.

Here are some pictures of the shifter ball grinder I made a couple years ago. I use a diamond point pivoted on a 1/4" radius to true the grinding stone. Notice the shifter holder can be centered by moving it left and right by the use of the 2 bolts it pivots on. Also notice the spring to keep the ball aginst the wheel and the spring loaded stop bolt to set the distance for grinding the ball.
