HUB PULLER BY Ted Kuchta

Here are some photos of the puller that I made from a hub that was no longer serviceable (the bearing race no longer fit tightly). The slit is for an inspection window. It works on both front and rear and 28/29 and 30/31, plus later Fords. I cut off the bearing race on the lathe and then inserted the new "neck" from the opposite side. Select a pipe large enough to slip over a front or rear hub so it will work on both. Secure the puller to the lug bolts and this will apply uniform pressure to remove the drum. Insure the brakes are backed off at the adjustment wedges so that brake shoe friction is eliminated as a problem.
